Xscape Theaters Howell 14 goes bankrupt

The past 12 months have been tough for Jersey Shore businesses, especially those in the entertainment industry. After a year of limited capacity, one of Jersey Shore’s largest theaters has closed.

I received a note from a former employee of Xscape Theaters Howell 14 that the theater had closed. They shared that COVID regulations in the spring of 2020 forced them to suspend their operations, but in the fall of 2020 they decided to cease operations at Howell. Immediately I checked the movie times. Nothing. I checked the Xscape Website and Howell was no longer listed. I called the theater several times and got a voicemail, no feedback. Xscape Howell 14 theaters have closed

In April 2016, the theater opened with great fanfare with 70 foot screens and an incredible audio experience with Dolby Atmos Surround Sound. Today, he joins a growing list of companies that have struggled during the COVID-19 pandemic. And I want to send my best wishes to their former staff. I am really sorry. Hope you can find a new great and fast job.
