A Wisconsin sheriff’s deputy is facing 19 charges related to alleged sexual assault. Prosecutors say six people have charged him with sexual assault and investigators are looking for other possible victims.
Tonight, the Walworth County Sheriff’s Deputy is in trouble with the law. Cinema Wisconsin v. Gerardo baca, prosecutors have charged deputy Gerardo bocca with 19 crimes related to the alleged sexual assault of half a dozen victims, many of whom were co-workers over the past decade. Some of the charges involve allegations of the use of force by Mr baca. The disturbing details described in the 16-page criminal complaint, a victim, aged just 17 at the time, met Baca when she was his intern. Other victims told investigators that baca assaulted them at her home in Delavan against their will. Some of the counts involve allegations that he essentially assaulted the victims while they were incapacitated by alcohol and unable to defend and protect themselves in any way. Some of the evidence also includes baca’s video recordings of the assaults and text messages with the victims. When asked, baca said the meetings were consensual. In a text exchange, baca tells an accusatory quote, promise not to tell anyone, I just don’t want to get in trouble at work, prosecutors say baca is threatening some of the victims if they speak out. There are allegations in the complaint suggesting Mr Baca engaged in harassment or intimidation Bach has been with the Sheriff’s Office since 2017, prosecutors say if convicted on all counts of accusation, he envisages hundreds of years behind bars
