Wisconsin linebacker Leo Chenal is heading for the 2022 NFL Draft. As a junior he could have come back at least a year longer, but decided not to.
Channel has been a leader in the defense of Wisconsin for the past several years. He played 28 games with the Badgers during his career. Chenal also had 172 total tackles, 11 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 1 recovered fumble while at Madison.
Here is what Chenal had to say following his decision:
“To my teammates, I have been blessed and honored to play alongside you on death row,” Chenal said. “I will cherish every training, conditioning, training and summer play that we have all shared! These memories will be with me forever and you all know I’m just a phone call away! I especially want to thank Gburg! The city that shaped me! This small town taught me the work ethic and what it really means to work hard. That being said, I will forfeit my remaining eligibility and compete in the 2022 NFL Draft. Badger Nation, I can’t thank you enough for your support! “

Madison, Wisconsin will certainly miss the impact this linebacker has had on defense over the years.
