Ventura’s Taco is slated to debut at 2898 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. this week-end. Indeed, customers are invited to stop for the inauguration of the restaurant on Sunday, May 30 from noon to 6 p.m.
Behind the family-run restaurant is Jorge Ventura Ramirez, who owns and operates Taco de Ventura with his brothers Juan Carlos and Isidro Ventura Ramirez. Jorge is also a co-owner of Las 7 Estrellas, 112 E. Dakota St. with his uncle.
The Ventura Ramirez family started their business as a regularly parked taco truck on E. Oklahoma and S. Brust avenues. Ramirez says they will continue to operate the food truck with the new brick and mortar restaurant.
The tiny taqueria, with a maximum capacity of 30 people, will offer a menu of homemade tacos as well as dishes such as burritos, pombaza, tortas and main courses including chili peppers, milanesa, enchiladas and chilaquiles. You can see the full menu online.
Non-alcoholic drinks will also be available. The restaurant has applied for a liquor license and hopes to add alcoholic beverages to the menu in the future.
The hours of operation for Ventura’s tacos will be Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
