In eastern Wisconsin, there is a simply magical little village. Kohler, home of the iconic brand of quality lighting fixtures, is based in this community and has created a unique Wisconsin experience. It’s an incredibly cute and cozy destination in the winter, with fine accommodation and dining options and an incredible atmosphere. It’s one of Wisconsin’s finest winter experiences. Kohler is a village in Sheboygan County that is home to approximately 2,100 people. It’s just east of the town of Sheboygan and is easily accessible by car from places like Milwaukee and Chicago.
The Kohler name is known worldwide for the company based here. Kohler Company is a manufacturing company that produces plumbing products as well as furniture, cabinets, tiles, motors and generators.
On the side, it creates a bit of magic. The company operates Destination Kohler, a hospitality and real estate group that has transformed this corner of Wisconsin with beautiful golf courses, hotels, private clubs, shops, restaurants, and company-sponsored and village events.
The village is home to Kohler’s The American Club, a popular resort hotel that attracts guests from around the world.
The American Club is a luxury spa resort that dates back to 1918 – it was first built to accommodate immigrant workers.
Today, the hotel and surrounding properties are a winter wonderland. When you walk the streets, you might find it hard to believe you’re in Wisconsin – it’s so beautiful, you might feel like you’ve stepped into a scene from a movie!
