MILWAUKEE – Dogtopia, the nation’s premier dog daycare, boarding and spa, recently opened a location in the eastern part of Milwaukee.
The new facility is owned and operated locally by Julia Barnes, a resident of Milwaukee.
“We are excited to bring Dogtopia to this urban neighborhood and provide specialist dog care in Milwaukee,” said Barnes. “Our mission is to create an exciting, fun and safe atmosphere for the puppies of Milwaukee. Dogtopia offers contactless drop-off and pick-up services at the curb. The dog daycare said it maintains a personalized cleaning program that uses pet-safe products that clean, disinfect and provide the highest level of safety available.
Officials say playrooms are sanitized twice a day when dogs are resting and routine cleaning of details is done throughout the day.
According to a press release, each playroom has an HVAC system with built-in UV lighting that channels air out of the building to ensure clean air and kill bad bacteria.
“Dogtopia’s environment allows dogs to feel comfortable, enjoy plenty of play and exercise time, and the various play rooms provide fun for dogs of similar size and temperament,” said the company said in a statement. “Each playroom has a compressed rubber floor to relieve joints, prevent slipping and promote safer play. Dogtopia gives every dog the opportunity to socialize and stay active throughout the day in a safe environment. and clean, which can ease their separation anxiety and give the pet parenting peace of mind. “
Dogtopia also launched the Dogtopia Foundation which funds programs focused on three causes: service dogs for veterans, youth literacy programs, and employment initiatives for adults with autism. Officials say 100% of funds raised go directly to supported organizations.
Dogtopia is located at 2219 N. Farwell Ave., and is open Monday through Friday 6:30 am to 7:30 pm, Saturday 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday 11 am to 2 pm for boarding pickup only. For more information, click here.
