According to an update from the Fremont Police Department, officers have made contact with the Cirigliano family. Anthony, Suzette, Noah and Brandon Cirigliano were found around 11 a.m. EDT in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, WOOD-TV reported.

Police said all four family members had been questioned, according to the TV station. Detectives said the family ‘still believe people are after them, but the evidence in the investigation does not meet the criteria for police custody.’

Anthony Cirigliano, 51, called 911 the day the family was last seen. During the call, a copy of which was obtained by WZZM-TV, Cirigliano told a dispatcher that he needed immediate police protection because he had information regarding the September 11, 2001, attacks.

“It’s 9/11 related and people want to wipe me off the face of the earth,” he told a dispatcher, according to WOOD. “I am not crazy.”

The family had left their Fremont home on Sept. 16 and turned off their cell phones, WXYZ-TV reported.

Security camera footage spotted the family at a gas station on the Upper Peninsula the next day, according to the TV station.

The family had left behind the mother of Suzette Cirigliano, who suffers from dementia and requires full-time care, WOOD reported. She was found walking around the neighborhood around 9 p.m. EDT on Monday and is currently being cared for by other family members, according to the broadcaster.

The two children in the family — Brandon, 19, and Noah, 15 — both have autism, Michigan State Police said in a news release.

The Fremont Police Department said the investigation is now closed.

“We would like to thank everyone who assisted in the investigation by calling for counsel and sharing information to help locate this family,” the police department said in a news release.
