Milwaukee Yard sports facility set to open in the fall

OAK CREEK, WI – Milwaukee Yard, a more than 100,000 square foot sports complex, is coming to Oak Creek this fall for indoor sports games, daycares, birthday parties and more, according to a Facebook post by Milwaukee Yard.

The complex will include interior infill turf lots, hardwood lots, a day care center and a kindergarten. The project was originally planned last year and has been under construction ever since. The building is expected to be completed by the end of 2021, according to the Milwaukee Yard website.

When it opens, the establishment will offer a host of activities. Children’s soccer leagues, as well as an adult league, are planned. Kids will have a playroom filled with inflatables, toys, and a huge multi-story play tower. The facility will also provide rental opportunities for its fields, according to the Milwaukee Yard website.

Milwaukee Yard will also provide babysitting services. The facility’s daycare will provide children with access to climbing structures, inflatables, fields and an outdoor play area. Free play will be mixed with more traditional learning methods to provide a holistic child care setting. Childc are will also offer extracurricular sports, the website said.

The facility will be open by this winter, the website said. The facility will be located at 7727 S. Longwater Drive in Oak Creek. The site was formerly known as 13th Street, and the development will remain in this area.
