Offensive Player of the Week

Allison Lowrey, Rutgers

Jr. – F – Bridgewater, NJ – Bridgewater Raritan – Major: Sports Management
• Registered two goals and two assists last weekend to help number 6 (and defending Big Ten champion) Rutgers kick off their season with wins in New Mexico and against UNLV
• Scored the only goal in RU’s 18 August win over Mountain West Conference pre-season favorites New Mexico
• Recorded a career-high four points (one goal, two assists) in just 42 minutes of action in Sunday’s win over UNLV
• Received All-Big Ten academic honors last year
• Captures her first career Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week award

Defensive Player of the Week

Aidan McConnell, Wis.

So. – D – Dexter, Michigan – Dexter – Major: Biomedical Engineering
• Anchored a Wisconsin defense that opened the season last weekend with back-to-back shutouts at No. 7 (and defending Big 12 conference champion) TCU and Baylor
• Helped the Badgers successfully defend 13 corner kicks in the August 18 scoreless tie at TCU in a two-program clash that qualified for the Sweet 16 of last year’s NCAA Tournament
• Only outfield player to play all 180 minutes in both UW competitions last weekend
• Earns her first career Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honor
• Last Wisconsin Defensive Player of the Week: Claire Shea (October 29, 2019)

Jamie Gerstenberg, Indiana

So. – Birkenwerder, Germany – 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam – Planned major: Business
• Made 12 combined saves while recording back-to-back road shutouts at West Virginia and Virginia Tech to open the 2022 season
• Recorded a career-high eight saves in Sunday’s draw at Virginia Tech, which advanced to the second round of last year’s NCAA Tournament
• Added four saves in August 18 season opener at WVU
• Earns his first Career Goalie of the Week title
• Final Indiana Goalie of the Week: Bethany Kopel (March 2, 2020)

Erin McKinney, Wis.

Graduate. – Belvidere, Ill. – Belvidere North – Major: Psychology
• Had two shutouts and 13 saves combined in a draw at No. 7 TCU and a win at Baylor last weekend
• Made a career-high 10 saves in Sunday’s win at Baylor, after stopping three shots in the August 18 season opener at TCU
• Seen his first action in Wisconsin after his transfer from Akron in 2019 (previously supported Jordyn Bloomer, two-time Big Ten goaltender of the year)
• A two-time All-Big Ten academic selection (2020, 2021)
• Earns his first Career Goalkeeper of the Week accolade
• Last goalkeeper of the week in Wisconsin: Jordyn Bloomer (September 28, 2021)

Co-Freshman of the Week

Amelia White, Penn State

F – Fort Wayne, Indiana – Homestead – Major: Liberal Arts
• Came off the bench to pick up assists in each of his first two college games last weekend as 14th-placed Penn State started with a draw against 19th-placed Georgetown and a win over Duquesne
• Assisted on Ally Schegel’s second-half equalizer in the 18 August opener against Georgetown
• Receives his first career Rookie of the Week citation
• Last Freshman of the Week at Penn State: Payton Linnehan (October 22, 2019)

Co-Freshman of the Week

Naomi Splittorff, Purdue

F – Evansville, Ind. – Reitz – Major: Biomedical Health Sciences
• Scored his first career goal (and eventual game-winner) in the 44th minute of Purdue’s 3-0 win over No. 15 USC on 18 August.
• Recorded a game-high three shots on net against the Trojans, helping the Boilermakers to their highest-ranked home triumph since September 15, 2006 (2-0 against No. 12 Utah) in front of a record crowd of 3,296 supporters at Folk Field
• Captures his first career Rookie of the Week honor
• Final Purdue Freshman of the Week: Nicole Kevdzija (March 9, 2020)
