PHOENIX (AP) — The NBA’s long regular season can be tedious, but make no mistake, it’s important. Just ask the Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns, two teams that have home-court advantage in Game 7 of their respective NBA second-round playoffs on Sunday. The Celtics host the Milwaukee Bucks hours before the Suns host the Dallas Mavericks. The Celtics and Bucks have alternated wins throughout the first six games of their series. The Mavs and Suns have each won their three home games in their series, many of them by wide margins.

UNDATED (AP) – Downtown Milwaukee will be under a limited curfew for the rest of the weekend and a huge watch party scheduled for Sunday has been canceled after 21 people were injured in three separate shootings near of an entertainment district where thousands of people gathered for an NBA playoff game. Three people were injured Friday night in the first shooting, one in the second and 17 in what police described as an exchange of gunfire between two groups of people, all within a few blocks of the arena where the Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Boston Celtics. in Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals. All victims should survive.

MIAMI (AP) — Jesús Aguilar, Jorge Soler and Brian Anderson homered, and the Miami Marlins beat the Milwaukee Brewers 9-3. Miami starter Trevor Rogers pitched 5 1/3 one-run innings. Rogers allowed five hits, struck out eight and struck out a batter. A day after leaving early with a stomach ache, Avisaíl García scored two points for the Marlins, who went on a five-game home skid. Stricker is aiming for his fourth major championship on the 50-plus circuit. Alker birdied the last two holes for a 65.
