College GameDay team breaks Iowa-Wisconsin clash

The B1G is packed with huge clashes in Week 9 of the 2021 college football season. While there are big games like # 6 Michigan at # 8 Michigan State and # 20 Penn State at # 5 Ohio State could have some big offensive moments, there are other games in the conference like # 9 Iowa at Wisconsin which will be fully defensive.

The Iowa defense ranks second in the B1G for points against per game (14.6) while the Wisconsin defense ranks fifth in the B1G for points against per game (18.4).

The game should be a defensive battle as both teams’ defenses are strong, but their attacks are ineffective. According to FanDuel, the game’s plus / minus is set at 36.5, one of the lowest, if not the plus / minus in the country this week.

College Gameday’s David Pollack gave his favorite team in that game:

“I trust Wisconsin. I trust their racing game. I don’t trust the Iowa running game. Their offense has been everywhere. Wisconsin at least has an identity of who they are in the ground game. I trust Wisconsin more.

Kirk Herbstreit said this about the key to the game:

“I think this game has a low score like a 12-6, 12-9 type game. The revenue margin will be the difference in the game. Iowa revenue has been tremendous for them most of the year and for Wisconsin it’s the opposite. So for me whoever wins this battle, gets those extra possessions will be the difference in the game.

The winner of Saturday’s B1G West game is huge for the division race. We’ll see what’s happening in Madison on Saturday afternoon.
