Caroline Duncan obituary (2021) – Kenosha, WI

Caroline Faith Duncan (née Nedweski)

Caroline Faith Duncan (née Nedweski), 69, passed away peacefully from heart failure on Friday, September 10, 2021.

Caroline was born and raised in Kenosha, WI. She then moved to Milwaukee where she would meet her husband at St. John the Evangelist Cathedral. As a child, she developed a strong desire for education and study, which led her to college to specialize in English art and literature.

Caroline’s first rung on the professional ladder was in advertising, working for a local restaurant and marketing agencies. She spent about two decades in this field while budgeting for allowances and delegating family responsibilities with her husband and three children. She taught her children economics through her life’s work, after divorce and by buying her first home. Years later, she was able to negotiate a successful transition to a smaller home with her friend before finally settling on a penthouse in downtown Milwaukee. Later, her greedy health plan helped her keep up with her municipal activities. Caroline had praised the efforts of her children, who have helped her keep things going for the past decade.

She has had many different interests and roles throughout her life. From book illustrator, dry cleaning specialist, restaurateur, legislative assistant, jeweler, solo choir singer, housewife, bread maker, beverage specialist, fundraiser and hotel critic. Caroline was known for her strong liberal convictions, always made voting a commitment, and volunteered for Democratic efforts. She was a huge fan of former Senator Herb Kohl. She was a dedicated daily reader of short illustrative stories while reviewing food and business operations.

He remains in his memory to be cherished by his children, Andrea Duncan, Joseph Duncan, Raymond A. Duncan; her former husband, Raymond W. Duncan; her sisters, Kathy Milass and Pat Doyle.

Caroline was predeceased by her siblings, Eddie and Bernie Nedweski and Joyce Flatley.
