52 Restaurants (Week 29): Story Hill BKC

It’s more important than ever to support our local restaurants. And there’s no better way to do that than to commit to hanging out with them year-round. As far as West Side restaurants go, Story Hill remains among the best. Its Midwestern cuisine — sprinkled with inspirational shakes, both domestic and global — is accessible without causing boredom. It’s also a great place to go with friends who like to share dishes, as you can try quite a few in one sitting. Large sharing plates run the gamut from Cedar Planked Trout and Booyah! chicken thighs with pork chop cutlet and beef short rib gnocchi.

Pair them with your selections with delicious butterflake rolls, smoked Yukon potato gratin, and their miso-braised cabbage.

Don’t miss their exceptional brunch offerings offered Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Recommended: chicken dumpling; smoked Yukon gratin; schnitzel; brunch dishes: crêpe monsieur or shakshouka
